MEET THE AWF STAFF:

Michael Cravens, Advocacy and Conservation Director

Michael Cravens has spent his life immersed in, and enamored with, the outdoors and all the diversity of life associated with them. From a free and feral childhood spent chasing all manner of wildlife in the Missouri Ozarks, through his academic years studying the natural sciences and traveling to remote and wild places, Michael’s love of wildlife and the places they call home has never wavered. Today, Michael, his wife, their two young children, and way too many pets, call the mountains of Arizona home. While he still spends much of his time traveling and exploring far away places, most of his free time is spent right here in Arizona exploring streams with a fly rod and hunting for sustainable and healthy meat to bring home to his family. It is also here in Arizona where Michael works with our legislative and congressional decision makers advocating for our wildlife, habitat, public lands, and our access to it all.
